Thoughts on Chips

There was a Lay's Potato chip truck outside my apartment this morning and on the front of the truck it says "Food for the fun of it." This brand message struck me as a little odd since a majority of our country is morbidly obese. Shouldn't the chip company come up with something with a little more continuity based on the current health issues plaguing the country?
I guess they are positioning their chip product as "relief" from the real world of fruits, vegetables and whole grains. So, why not just make the slogan more direct and say something like, "take a break, eat like sh*t."

Jam Suggestion

So I originally signed up for a blog on Wordpress but I switched to Blogger because it's easier to create and quick-post. So I have re-posted my first posting below......

First Post

My first post! Okay well not really my first since I did some blogging for the Association of National Advertisers back in 2007. This time around I have different intentions, im an aspring social marketer building my credientials and knowledge by seeking content and thoughts from industry mentors and peers and then sharing my opinions on those things here.

My experience working for Yahoo (Right Media) and ANA have given me exposure to different sides of the industry and the chance to stand in the same conference room as some of the most inspirational innovative thinkers.

With time on my side, an awesome group of mentors and friends, (and family!) this will be an interesting journey to follow as I aspire to become a social marketer.

..... One more thing I should mention, I'm looking for a job!
